Civil Engineering
Project Services provides the core design office civil skills required to support the State Government building program. Specialist expertise within the branch includes the design of trunk water supply and sewerage systems, predevelopment infrastructure assessment, contaminated land rehabilitation, sportsfield refurbishment, and carpark design.
Significant maintenance upgrades of such civil elements as trunk firemains, drainage improvements, swimming pool refurbishments and facility expansions are also routinely investigated.
With an increasing community emphasis on sustainable design, our civil engineering team is committed to improving the Green Star rating of proposed developments and ensuring that environmental best practices are applied in all civil design including investigation of sustainability, rehabilitation and management planning for site redevelopment. The civil engineers are broadening their expertise to include rainwater harvesting and reuse, low technology sewage treatment, and local area hydrology studies.
