Contract Documentation and Administration

Project Services’ in-house legal and contractual group has extensive expertise in building contract law and issues associated with the administration of contracts both from an advisory perspective and in a practical operational capacity. The Contracts group plays a leading role in the development and implementation of the Government capital works procurement policy and is available to impart its considerable knowledge in a consultancy situation.

Contract Claims

Project Services has extensive experience in the assessment of contractual claims. We are able to offer specialist expertise in the resolution of quantum meruit, acceleration, disruption and major delay claims. Project Services regularly acts on behalf of the Principal in the resolution of disputes at the Principal’s decision level and will apply a risk analysis to identify the most appropriate means of resolving the problem.

Contract Training

Project Services is able to offer training courses on the law and administration of contracts based on the Australian Standard Forms.

Claims Management

Project Services maintains a specialist cell which provides advice in dispute resolution. Our aim is to resolve claims in accordance with the specified contract criteria and perform the resolution in a cost efficient manner.

Contract Documentation

Project Services regularly provides contract documents for a range of procurement options and across the broad spectrum of building types. Documentation varies from design briefs for design and construct projects (either lump sum or guaranteed maximum price) to full drafting of specifications for Bills of Quantities.

Project Services can also help devise tender criteria, draft conditions of tender and contribute to the selection of contractors working in a Superintendent’s or Principal’s Representative role.
